Greensleeves provides 26 children with a place of safety, they vary in ages of 8 month to 16 years old. These children have been placed here due to severe neglect and abuse from their parents and family.
The owner receive no grants from the government and
relies solely on donations from the public.
They are currently all sharing a 1 bedroom shack and a
caravan. Katleisure managed to raise R7000.00 which was used to convert old
stables into a new home for the children.
La Royale Ocean Spa collected old clothes, toys and baby food and clothing, blankets, pillows, towels, soaps and curtains for their new home.
The Staff from La Royale Ocean Spa went out to Greensleves on Thursday the 27th May to hand over all the items collected. We had a party for the children and all of them got a delicious party pack filled with sweets, chips, cooldrinks and cake, balloons and bubbles.. We painted their faces, sang songs and played soccer with them. A fun time was had by all.
We were all so touched to see how happy they were but have so little in life.
We have made it our mission to collect as much as we can for them and have volunteered to be the drop off point for any donations from the public. We will ensure that greensleeves receives everything.
We encourage anyone who has anything that they no longer want, to please drop it off at the La Royale Ocean Spa. It does not matter what it is - when you have NOTHING, anything is a blessing.
